It seems that getting to COP is never without its challenges and after hurdling mandated hotel prices, scouring for blue zone passes and even convincing our Ambassador, Irene Ojuok, to do it all again (following last year’s debacle) – we’re on our way!
COP27 is being posited as the action COP. Egypt’s COP27 presidency vision is to move from negotiations and planning to action on the ground.
We went to COP last year announcing our partnership with Climate Asset Management to deliver a $USD 150 million nature-based carbon programme in Africa.
This year we’re here to say not only have we done that but that we’re back with a 3.8 billion dollar pipeline, that will restore over 30 million hectares and support over 29 million households! Beyond this, it will capture 1 billion tons of carbon!
